The brief of this project was to create a kinetic typography piece that also had an underlying message or call to action. A restriction was also set that no characters or objects could be used outside of basic geometric shapes and the type itself. 

My solution to this ask was to select a TED talks that I found interesting or inspiring. I chose "I am Depressed," which was given by Diana Paige.

My concept was to deal strictly in black and white minimalism. I originally intended to include an accent color, but I found black and white to be more impactful. Most of this piece is white on black, the type getting faster and more erratic as her voice speeds up.

When her speech reaches its turning point, I switch to black and white, showing the pivotal moment when someone recognizes mental health as a part of who they are.
